Books & Birds

The front porch is the perfect place for reading and bird watching. The hummingbirds are active from May-October. We also have a bunch of birds including the infamous Whippoorwill, Carolina Wren, Golden Finch, Scarlet Tanager, Bluejays & Eastern Bluebirds! Catch a glimpse or hear the screech of a soaring Bald Eagle or Redtail Hawk.

From May through October, the inn’s porch becomes a front-row seat to dozens of vibrant hummingbirds. Watch these tiny visitors zip, hover, and dance just a few feet away—an unforgettable part of the North Fork mountain experience.
