From classic board games to jigsaw puzzles and brain-teasing challenges, there’s something for every level of fun. Gather friends or family, test your skills, and make memories while enjoying some friendly competition.

Books & Birds

The front porch is the perfect place for reading and bird watching. The hummingbirds are active from May-October, but you can also catch a glimpse of the infamous Whippoorwill, Carolina Wren, Golden Finch, Scarlet Tanager, Bluejays, and Eastern Bluebirds! If you're lucky you may also hear the screech of a soaring Bald Eagle or Redtail Hawk.

From May through October, the inn’s porch becomes a front-row seat to dozens of vibrant hummingbirds. Watch these tiny visitors zip, hover, and dance just a few feet away—an unforgettable experience from the front porch of the North Fork Mountain Inn.

Stargazing by the Fire

Gather around the crackling campfire and unwind beneath West Virginia’s dazzling night skies. Share stories, roast s’mores, and connect with fellow guests as the stars brighten above the mountains. It's a North Fork Mountain Inn tradition.
