1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, divided
2 cups plain flour
2 pints strawberries
1 cup sugar
4 Tbs cornstarch
4 Tbs cold water
1 tsp vanilla
6 oz cream cheese
8 oz cool whip
Mix butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and flour together. Press into pizza pan or shape on pizza stone. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool.
Crush (can use blender) 1 pint of berries. Cook with 1 cup sugar, bring to a boil. Mix cornstarch and water. Add to boiling strawberry mixture. Cook until thick. Add vanilla. Let cool. Slice remaining pint of berries. Fold into cooled strawberry mixture.
Cream Cheese Filling:
Whip the cream cheese. Add 1 cup powdered sugar and mix well. Stir in the cool whip until smooth.
Spread cream cheese filling over cooled crust. Spread strawberry mixture over cream cheese filling. Garnish with whipped topping and whole strawberries, if desired.
