Cranberry Crunch

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup (packed) brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) chilled butter, cut into ½ inch cubes
  • 1 can jellied cranberry sauce

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter bottom of 13x9x2 inch metal baking pan. Whisk together flour, oats, sugar, salt & cinnamon in large bowl. Add butter; rub in with fingertips until mixture sticks together in small clumps.

Press HALF of mixture into bottom of prepared pan. Bake until golden and just firm to the touch, about 15 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.

Spread cranberry sauce evenly over crust. Sprinkle remaining topping over sauce.

Bake about 20 minutes, cool in pan on rack. Cut into bars. Yields 24 bars.
